As an Independent Celebrant I can guide you through the scattering of ashes ceremony.
Some people like to have a ceremony to scatter the ashes of their loved one. The scattering ceremony releases the ashes, freeing and letting them go.
Families may choose to scatter ashes at the crematorium where their loved one’s ceremony was held. Other people choose an approved venue that has meaning to the loved one they have lost, maybe a beach or a woodland site. You may decide to mark the occasion by having poems, songs, or a reading. A well-crafted and meaningful service can help bring peace to those attending.
