Memorials are a lovely way to celebrate life and usually involve, family and friends. As an Independent Celebrant I would guide you through the memorial process.
Memorials can be held on the same day as your loved one is put to rest or at a completely different time, the choice is entirely yours. They are a lovely way to celebrate life and usually involve, family and friends.
The difference between a memorial and a funeral is that the coffin is not present so there are no elements of the committal. It is your choice to decide where to hold the memorial and what to include in the service with the agreement of the venue or landowners. Some people hold them indoors at hotels, pubs, golf clubs and others outdoors at a place that holds a special memory.
Memorials provide you with the ability to be truly creative, giving us the freedom to craft the perfect ceremony to honour your loved one including all the elements that are special to you. Memorials are not time limited so the service can be longer and include more people.
